TECGEN71 composite systems are more flexible, lighter weight, and more breathable, yielding a 48% higher THL without sacrificing TPP (Thermal Protective Performance) or durability. "Fire-Dex is committed to developing products that address the number one and two causes of fire-related occupational death, carcinogen exposure and heat stress,” says Fire-Dex VP of Sales and Marketing, Steve Allison. “TECGEN71 proves that greater than 310 THL is achievable in reducing heat stress. The test results and in field feedback from firefighters have amazed our team and those users testing it. We will continue to forge ahead and expand our products to protect firefighters - today and tomorrow." In September of 2015, Fire-Dex acquired TECGEN® PPE. Immediate research and development of the TECGEN® fiber for application to NFPA 1971 started with Milliken & Company, headquartered in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Milliken shares a long history of innovation and design. The results of our product development work brings TECGEN71, developed with the durability and strength of Nomex® and Kevlar® from DuPont. TECGEN71 is exclusively available in the Fire-Dex FX-R model, the most ergonomically designed turnout gear in the fire service. Fire-Dex will host a TECGEN71 launch event in booth 2222 at FRI (Fire Rescue International) in Charlotte Thursday, July 27, 2017 from 5-8 p.m.   [![LEARN MORE](https://no-cache.hubspot.com/cta/default/4744594/bc88e319-2b42-4a9d-b6b2-8276188333ea.png)](https://cta-redirect.hubspot.com/cta/redirect/4744594/bc88e319-2b42-4a9d-b6b2-8276188333ea) Categorized: [Gear Innovation & Design](https://blog.firedex.com/blog/tag/gear-innovation-design) [Previous](https://blog.firedex.com/blog/2017/07/06/fire-dex-welcomes-michelle-slawson-customer-service-representative) [Next](https://blog.firedex.com/blog/2017/08/01/fire-dex-double-size-manufacturing-facility-breaking-ground-october) [![Share on Facebook](https://static.hubspot.com/final/img/common/icons/social/facebook-24x24.png)](http://www.facebook.com/share.php?u=https%3A%2F%2Fblog.firedex.com%2Fblog%2F2017%2F07%2F26%2Ffire-dex-introduces-game-changer-fire-service-tecgen71%3Futm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_source%3Dfacebook) [![Share on LinkedIn](https://static.hubspot.com/final/img/common/icons/social/linkedin-24x24.png)](http://www.linkedin.com/shareArticle?mini=true&url=https%3A%2F%2Fblog.firedex.com%2Fblog%2F2017%2F07%2F26%2Ffire-dex-introduces-game-changer-fire-service-tecgen71%3Futm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_source%3Dlinkedin) [![Share on Email](https://static.hubspot.com/final/img/common/icons/social/email-24x24.png)](mailto:?subject=Check%20out%20https%3A%2F%2Fblog.firedex.com%2Fblog%2F2017%2F07%2F26%2Ffire-dex-introduces-game-changer-fire-service-tecgen71%3Futm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_source%3Demail%20&body=Check%20out%20https%3A%2F%2Fblog.firedex.com%2Fblog%2F2017%2F07%2F26%2Ffire-dex-introduces-game-changer-fire-service-tecgen71%3Futm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_source%3Demail) ### Leave a Reply ### Recent Posts ### CATEGORIES -
