We enjoyed giving back to some incredible causes and organizations. Read about our community contribution highlights below. **Ocean Reef Flag Pole Donation:** Fire-Dex donated a flag pole to the [Ocean Reef Fire Department](https://www.oceanreef.com/community/public-safety-1928.html) in Key Largo, FL. Fire-Dex CEO Bill Burke attended the flag raising ceremony. It was a pleasure to support a fire department near and dear to the #FireDexFamily. **Children's Center of Medina County:** Fire-Dex was a proud sponsor of A Night at the Races, an event benefiting [The Children's Center of Medina County,](http://www.medinacountychildrenscenter.org/)for the second year in a row. All donated funds directly impact children who have been neglected, physically or sexually abused in Medina County. **The Fire Service:** Following our mission ‘To Serve Those Who Serve,’ we contributed a number of donations during [FDIC 2018](https://www.firedex.com/blog/2018/04/02/fire-dex-at-fdic-2018-visit-booth-1823/). We hosted daily giveaways at the event and gave away 10 [H41 Interceptor™ Hoods with Stedair® PREVENT](https://www.firedex.com/product/h41prevent/) to four departments and one lucky department received 10 complete sets of the Fire-Dex [Interceptor Package™](https://www.firedex.com/interceptorpackage/). Additionally, we hosted a [Virtual Giveaway](https://www.firedex.com/blog/2018/05/04/congratulations-to-our-fdic-virtual-winners/) for those who were unable to attend FDIC and to celebrate International Firefighters’ Day. Five winners in this giveaway received a H41 Interceptor™ hood with Stedair® PREVENT. **The Medina 9/11 Memorial:** Fire-Dex is honored to help sponsor the [Medina 9/11 Memorial](http://www.medinarotary.org/sitepage/medina-9-11-memorial/). The Memorial will include a 9-foot-long I-beam from the North Tower. A local artist designed an open metal sculpture to represent the Twin Towers and the Memorial will be erected south of Fire Station 1. NOTE, on June 19th, we will be giving away a set of FXR featuring TECGEN71, our exclusive outer shell. TECGEN71 is designed to less heat stress by reducing weight and increasing flexibility. [Enter now.](https://www.firedex.com/wintecgen71/)   Categorized: [Firefighting History and Culture](https://blog.firedex.com/blog/tag/firefighting-history-and-culture) [Previous](https://blog.firedex.com/blog/2018/04/16/qa-with-customer-service-representative-rose-warington) [Next](https://blog.firedex.com/blog/2018/05/18/fire-dex-to-celebrate-35th-anniversary-headquarters-expansion) [![Share on Facebook](https://static.hubspot.com/final/img/common/icons/social/facebook-24x24.png)](http://www.facebook.com/share.php?u=https%3A%2F%2Fblog.firedex.com%2Fblog%2F2018%2F05%2F16%2Ffire-dex-gives-back-march-and-april%3Futm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_source%3Dfacebook) [![Share on LinkedIn](https://static.hubspot.com/final/img/common/icons/social/linkedin-24x24.png)](http://www.linkedin.com/shareArticle?mini=true&url=https%3A%2F%2Fblog.firedex.com%2Fblog%2F2018%2F05%2F16%2Ffire-dex-gives-back-march-and-april%3Futm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_source%3Dlinkedin) [![Share on Email](https://static.hubspot.com/final/img/common/icons/social/email-24x24.png)](mailto:?subject=Check%20out%20https%3A%2F%2Fblog.firedex.com%2Fblog%2F2018%2F05%2F16%2Ffire-dex-gives-back-march-and-april%3Futm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_source%3Demail%20&body=Check%20out%20https%3A%2F%2Fblog.firedex.com%2Fblog%2F2018%2F05%2F16%2Ffire-dex-gives-back-march-and-april%3Futm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_source%3Demail) ### Leave a Reply ### Recent Posts ### CATEGORIES -
