As North America’s fastest-growing manufacturer of protective gear for the fire services, the company consistently garners recognition for its outstanding achievements, a record of honors that now encompasses: - **Inc. 5000** Fire-Dex, having earned a place on the [Inc. 5000](https://www.inc.com/profile/globo) list in previous years, achieved this distinction for the third time in 2023. Published annually by Inc*.* magazine, the list spotlights privately held U.S. companies that have exhibited consistent rapid growth. The recognition of Fire-Dex reinforces its standing as a top manufacturer dedicated to safeguarding everyday heroes during their critical missions. - **Weatherhead 100** By earning its ninth [Weatherhead 100](https://case.edu/weatherhead/corporate-partners/weatherhead-100/weatherhead-100-winners) award, Fire-Dex continues to solidify its position as one of Northeast Ohio’s fastest-growing businesses. The awards represent a celebration of the region’s enterprising spirit and the vanguard companies driving progress. Recipients are selected for their impressive revenue growth and establishment of a distinguished benchmark for leadership. - **NorthCoast 99** Fire-Dex now counts eight [NorthCoast 99](https://www.northcoast99.org/winners) awards in its trophy case. This annual program, presented by ERC (Employers Resource Council), celebrates Northeast Ohio's top workplaces by honoring organizations that excel in attracting, developing and retaining talent. Fire-Dex's enduring presence on the list highlights its dedication to fostering a dynamic and supportive work environment. - **Cascade Business Awards** Another prestigious honor, presented by Cascade Capital Corp. and Smart Business magazine, celebrates businesses in the Akron-Canton (Ohio) region that have demonstrated notable growth in both sales and employment over the past five years. This marks the 10th time that Fire-Dex has earned a [Cascade Capital Business Growth Award](https://sbnonline.com/events/cascadecapital/), showcasing a track record of sustained excellence spanning a full decade. Beyond an unflinching commitment to quality, it is steadfast leadership that has propelled Fire-Dex to greater heights, resulting in an array of additional accolades, including: - **Smart 50 Awards “Best Story”** Fire-Dex is proud to share that President Lauren Burke DeVere was chosen as an honoree of the [Northeast Ohio Smart 50 Awards](https://sbnonline.com/smart50/) for a second consecutive year. Presented by *Smart Business* magazine, this program recognizes the region’s most astute executives for their prowess in skillfully constructing and guiding thriving enterprises. - **Smart Women Awards** Furthermore, Lauren has been selected as a [2023 Progressive Women Honoree](https://sbnonline.com/events/smartwomen/) by Smart Business. This award acknowledges the accomplishments of prominent female business leaders in Northeast Ohio, specifically their contributions to establishing impactful women's programs, their adeptness in building robust organizations, and their mentorship of aspiring women in their careers. “These awards are a testament to the collective passion and drive of our team,” said Jamie Marks, Director of Human Resources for Fire-Dex. “We're not just about protecting people, but also empowering our talented associates who make all of this possible. It's our shared values and dedication that truly set us apart and lead to such remarkable recognition." **Prioritizing Family Values** Established in 1983 and headquartered in Medina, Ohio, Fire-Dex has remained firm in its mission "to serve those who serve" over four decades.
