Get To Know Amber
Originally from Central Florida, Amber relocated to Ohio three years ago to pursue her dream of owning an apple orchard. When she's not working, she enjoys creating pyrography art, and stays busy by tending to her apiary (honey bees), chickens, 3 dogs, and 3 kids, Paige, Blake, and Liam.
What are 3 things people don't know about you and may be surprised to learn?
- At my house, we have a dedicated reptile room that includes snakes (3) and lizards (2).
- I love hard rock music.
- I crochet, a talent passed down by my mother.
What is the coolest thing about your job and why?
The coolest thing about my job is the view! In order to ensure our ERP system is working efficiently and effectively, it is a must that I have a good understanding of the entire business.
Have you been anywhere recently for the first time?
My husband just received his pilot's license. I went up in a single engine aircraft with him for the first time and I found out that I get very motion sick!
What show (if any) are you currently binge watching?
Criminal Minds - I love this show!
What's the best advice you've ever received? What about the worst advice?
Best Advice: I choose how I feel. No one can 'make' me feel good, bad, or otherwise. My actions and reactions are my own that I am accountable for and I control.
Worst Advice: Don't go out in the rain without an umbrella.
How do you relax after a hard day of work or on the weekends?
All I need are my pajamas, tv, and pillows. Lots of pillows!
What's the craziest thing you've ever done?
Move to Ohio!! I have always lived in Florida, and my family still lives in Florida. I really felt like I was getting through life fine but I was not living it. On that note, we moved and I'm still waiting to get homesick, although it’s not going to happen because I love Ohio!
Imagine you could step in a teleport for a day and go to any place and time in history. Where and when would you travel to?
Honestly, I think I prefer the future. Although, the 90's where a blast!
What's your favorite family tradition?
Setting up the Christmas Tree. We always have such a great time decorating together.
If you had to eat one meal every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?
PIZZA! 🍕
