Written by Fire-Dex | Oct 24, 2019 5:21:06 PM

Bart joined the Fire-Dex family in June 2019 as a Territory Sales Rep for Tennessee and Alabama. This was a newly created position to assist our Regional Sales Manager, David Moore, with his quickly growing territory. Before Fire-Dex, Bart was a firefighter for approximately 16 years. He started out as a volunteer and worked his way through the ranks as a career firefighter. Read more about Bart below!

What are 3 things people don’t know about you and may be surprised to learn?

I enjoy boating, hunting and spending time with my family.

What is your favorite thing about your job and why?

One of the best parts of my Fire-Dex job, is the opportunity to meet firefighters from various walks of life and get to know them on a personal level.

What show are you currently binge watching?

I just finished up The 100. Its a great series with lots of plot twists and turns.

What's the best advice you've ever received? What about the worst advice?

Best advice that I ever received was simply be yourself! Do not try to be something that you are not. Worst advice from friends way back in the day was just tell her a lie.... she will never know haha... That never works out!

What are you reading right now?

With the new position and 3 young kids, unfortunately... I have not picked up a book in quite a while.

How do you relax after a hard day of work or on the weekends?

I relax after a hard days work by hitting the pool, or taking the family to the lake.

What's your favorite family tradition?

I really enjoy when all of the family gets together during the holidays. With the hustle and bustle of life, it is nice to slow down and see everyone in the family and catch up.

If you had to eat one meal everyday for the rest of your life, what would it be?

I'm a meat and potatoes kind of guy.

60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, 2000s: Which decade do you love most and why?

I would have to go with the 90's.... The why is simply that I had little responsibility then and everything was care free.

What is your favorite song to "bust a move" to?

Too many to list, but I would tend to lean towards the slow stuff. Unfortunately, I was not blessed with rhythm.

What's something you want to do in the next year that you've never done before?

I would love the opportunity to spend time out of country with the wife.

If you had to delete all but 3 apps on your phone, what would you keep?

My outlook calendar, my maps and facebook. The calendar keeps me on track, the maps get me to all of the crazy places that I need to be, and facebook somewhat keeps me in the know with old friends.

What could you give a 30-minute presentation on with absolutely no preparation?

I tend to be a talker and could probably do a 30 minute presentation on almost anything. An area of interest would be outdoors. I could talk forever on anything outdoors. (hunting, fishing, boating, camping, etc).

What was the worst haircut you ever had?

I had a mohawk one time. It was definitely a site to see.

Where is your dream vacation spot?

Anywhere tropical. If it has a beautiful beach and great weather, I am in!

What is your most used emoji?

The thumbs up emoji. It answers about 75 percent of the questions that are sent my way via text.

If you could pick up a new skill in an instant what would it be?

I would welcome the opportunity to become multi-lingual. This is a skill that could easily set a person apart from his or her competition.
