- I love going to the beach, but I am terrified of the ocean.
- After I graduated from college, I worked in the wardrobe department for several movies. 📽️
- I love DIY projects. My husband and I recently re-built our front porch and side deck (screened in our back porch), and I am learning how to frame and hang dry wall!
What's the best advice you've ever received? What about the worst advice?
Best Advice: Always try your best to keep your word. It is so easy to lose someone's trust, but so difficult to gain it back.
Worst Advice: It can wait until tomorrow. I am not a procrastinator, so I like to tackle anything head-on.
What is the coolest thing about your job and why?
I love the research side of my job. I never realized how many departments have the same name, even in the same state, so sometimes it takes a little detective work to make sure I am looking for the correct location.
How do you relax in the evenings or on the weekends?
We travel a lot during the weekends for different sporting events with my kids. I try to get a quick 2-3 mile walk in every day, no matter where we are. I pop in my earbuds, turn on a podcast, and zone out. 🏃
What's the craziest thing you've ever done?
I left my home in Illinois and moved to Atlanta, I didn't know a soul and I lived in a hotel for six months while I worked on my first movie set. I had planned to return home once filming was over, but fell in love with the city and made wonderful friends that convinced me to stay. I am still here, 20 years later!
What's the last book you read?
I love reading true crime, and I recently finished I'll Be Gone in the Dark by Michelle McNamara. I had the opportunity to meet Michelle and her husband Patton Oswalt many years ago before she passed away.
If you were a baseball player, what song would you walk out to?
Major League is a favorite movie, so probably Wild Thing. ⚾
What's something you want to do in the next year that you've never done before?
I would love to try parasailing, but I am terrified of heights and the ocean, so not sure how that will work out. 😅 My husband and my daughter parasailed when we were at the beach two years ago and they said it was such a fun experience.
How would your friends describe you?
My friends would definitely describe me as loyal, a good listener and secret-keeper.
What sport would you compete in if you were in the Olympics?
I would absolutely be on the Olympic swim team. I starting swimming when I was very young and swam competitively all through high school.
If you could pick up a new skill in an instant what would it be?
With my DIY spirit, I would love to learn wood-working. The saws and other power tools seem intimidating, but you can create so much with so little.
