Meet the #FireDexFamily: Maged Baskhron, Project Manager

Maged joined the Fire-Dex family in April 2019 in a newly created role as Project Manager. Before he joined us at Fire-Dex, he worked at Hugo Boss for 14 years and he was the Industrial Engineer at Keystone for 4 years. Read more about Maged in his Q&A below!

What are 3 things people don’t know about you and may be surprised to learn?

  1. God is number one in my life, my family comes second and everything else after is next.
  2. My wife is my high school sweetheart. We have been married for 18 years and have 4 girls.
  3. When I came to America in 2001, I was not able to speak English and I did not have any money to live off of.

What is your favorite thing about your job and why?

I love my job because I work with a great team, the people care about me as a person, and they respect my knowledge and experience. Our team works very well together and helps each other get the job done.

 

You have to sing karaoke, what song do you pick?

I don't believe that I would sing, but if I had to, I would sing the roller-coaster.

 

Have you been anywhere recently for the first time?

Florida Keys.

 

What show are you currently binge watching?

I was recently watching the African soccer cup and I am still watching Grey's Anatomy.

 

What's the best advice you've ever received? What about the worst advice?

The best advice I have ever received is, “Don't worry. Don't give up. Don't lose faith or hope. It's a reminder that each struggle, trial or obstacle will pass.” 

The worst is, “Once you lick the frosting off the cupcake it becomes a muffin and muffin are healthy.”

 

What are you reading right now?

I do not like reading, but I am reading “Creating A Lean Culture” right now.

 

How do you relax after a hard day of work or on the weekends?

After a hard day, I sit down with my family and watch TV, and I enjoy getting with my friends and playing ping pong.

 

If you had to eat one meal everyday for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Chicken and rice for lunch.

 

60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, 2000s: Which decade do you love most and why?

90s, the good old days in high school and college years were my favorite for sure.

 

What's something you want to do in the next year that you've never done before?

Play tennis.

 

What's your favorite family tradition?

Going to church on Easter end Christmas Eve wearing our new outfits, and coming back home to have dinner with the family.

 

What is your most used emoji?

The heart and the prayer Emojis are the most that I used.
