Get To Know Matt
If you want to talk fabrics, Matt is your guy! He has spent extensive time honing his skills as a product development engineer, and is an integral player on our Product & Innovation Team. Prior to coming to work with us in December 2020, he spent time developing Pioneer, Agility, Kombat Stretch, and Kombat Flex outer shell fabrics at TenCate Protective Fabrics. He also helped create Defender M, a flame resistant material used for military combat.
What are 3 things people don't know about you and may be surprised to learn?
- Completed a Half Ironman Triathlon
- I'm a certified scuba diver
- I've been sky diving
What could you give a 30-minute presentation on with absolutely no preparation?
Flame resistant fabrics
What is the coolest thing about your job and why?
I get to create and develop new products that enable firefighters to do their jobs at peak performance, while making them look pretty cool too. 😎

Worst Advice: Buy a new car after you graduate college
What is your #1 recommended TV show or movie?
This past Christmas I showed my twin boys Home Alone for the first time and it was a blast!
Have you been anywhere recently for the first time?
Red Rocks in Denver. Very cool!
What's the craziest thing you've ever done?
I've repelled down a few waterfalls in Costa Rica 💦
Imagine you could step in a teleport for a day and go to any place and time in history. Where and when would you travel to?
I love to go to live sporting events so seeing one at the Coliseum in Rome during the Roman Empire would've been amazing.

What sport would you compete in if you were in the Olympics?
Decathlon
If you could pick up a new skill in an instant what would it be?
To be fluent in another language.
