Despite this past year’s challenges, we have made strides by launching reusable [AAMI-Level 3 Non-Surgical Isolation Gowns and Coveralls](https://www.firedex.com/category/isolation-gowns-coveralls/). This efficient product release gave first responders access to reusable PPE when disposable gowns weren’t accessible and offered durable protection when answering calls with potential [COVID-19 patients](https://www.firedex.com/covid19-responder-resources/).   “We are so grateful to receive the Evolution of Manufacturing Award for the first time,” states Steve Allison, President. “This award is a testament to the skill, ingenuity, and vision of our dedicated team that holds immense pride for the work they put into creating innovative products for first responders across the globe.”   Over the last decade, we've acquired many businesses to grow, expand, and reach new talent! The acquisition of TECGEN in 2015 added a proprietary fabric and a new product line to our expanding portfolio, while the purchase of Darwood Manufacturing in 2018 allowed us to create a second manufacturing location in Pelham, Georgia. We have also expanded this business to offer clean and repair services as an Independent Service Provider (ISP) when we acquired [Gear Wash in 2019](https://blog.firedex.com/blog/fire-dex-acquires-gear-wash-a-milwaukee-based-clean-repair-facility) and [Done Right Fire Gear in 2020](https://blog.firedex.com/blog/fire-dex-acquires-done-right-fire-gear-a-florida-based-clean-repair-facility).  As we continue to add talented staff to our organization, we invite you to visit our employment page to view current opportunities.    [![JOIN OUR AWARD-WINNING TEAM](https://no-cache.hubspot.com/cta/default/4744594/f4f2dc92-943e-4252-acdf-61f13645960b.png)](https://cta-redirect.hubspot.com/cta/redirect/4744594/f4f2dc92-943e-4252-acdf-61f13645960b) Categorized: [Firefighting History and Culture](https://blog.firedex.com/blog/tag/firefighting-history-and-culture) [Previous](https://blog.firedex.com/blog/agnes-baker-hired-as-office-and-accounting-assistant-at-fire-dex) [Next](https://blog.firedex.com/blog/alternatives-to-firefighter-turnout-gear) [![Share on Facebook](https://static.hubspot.com/final/img/common/icons/social/facebook-24x24.png)](http://www.facebook.com/share.php?u=https%3A%2F%2Fblog.firedex.com%2Fblog%2Ffire-dex-recognized-as-a-2021-evolution-of-manufacturing-honoree%3Futm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_source%3Dfacebook) [![Share on LinkedIn](https://static.hubspot.com/final/img/common/icons/social/linkedin-24x24.png)](http://www.linkedin.com/shareArticle?mini=true&url=https%3A%2F%2Fblog.firedex.com%2Fblog%2Ffire-dex-recognized-as-a-2021-evolution-of-manufacturing-honoree%3Futm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_source%3Dlinkedin) [![Share on Email](https://static.hubspot.com/final/img/common/icons/social/email-24x24.png)](mailto:?subject=Check%20out%20https%3A%2F%2Fblog.firedex.com%2Fblog%2Ffire-dex-recognized-as-a-2021-evolution-of-manufacturing-honoree%3Futm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_source%3Demail%20&body=Check%20out%20https%3A%2F%2Fblog.firedex.com%2Fblog%2Ffire-dex-recognized-as-a-2021-evolution-of-manufacturing-honoree%3Futm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_source%3Demail) ### Leave a Reply ### Recent Posts ### CATEGORIES -
