Jeff joined the Fire-Dex family in May 2019 as a Territory Sales Rep for Iowa, Nebraska and South Dakota. This was a newly created position to assist our Regional Sales Manager, Jim Cedar, with his fast growing territory. Before Fire-Dex, Jeff was a Distributor Sales Representative for Danko covering equipment sales in Northeast Nebraska and a few counties in Western Iowa. Read more about Jeff below!

What are 3 things people don’t know about you and may be surprised to learn?

1. I showed livestock in 4-H.

2. I got married in my Fire Dept Honor Guard uniform with escort.

3. I have worn a memorial tartan (kilt).

What is your favorite thing about your job and why?

Getting to work with the Fire & Rescue Services everyday. I enjoy meeting those who serve our communities across the states I represent and look for ways to help them protect themselves and others.

Have you been anywhere recently for the first time?

Our family enjoys exploring new adventures all the time as we travel around in our camper during the warmer months of the year.

What show are you currently binge watching?

None, not hooked on any one show.

What's the best advice you've ever received? What about the worst advice?

There has never been one thing that has stuck with me other than listen to each person, as we each have our own experiences in life that can help someone it their time of need.

What are you reading right now?

Nothing for myself per say, but several kids books like Tractor Mac, Otis and Charlie the Ranch Dog series for my 4 year old when I am not out on the road.

How do you relax after a hard day of work or on the weekends?

An occasional adult beverage sitting around a campfire roasting marshmallows with the family.

What's your favorite family tradition?

With family spread out in various areas, we look to adapt and find ways to create memories whenever we are together.

If you had to eat one meal everyday for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Beef.

60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, 2000s: Which decade do you love most and why?

The 90s because I was young and figuring out life.

What is your favorite song to "bust a move" to?

Dancing with my wife to Fishin' in the Dark by Nitty Gritty Dirt Band.

What's something you want to do in the next year that you've never done before?

Attend a Husker Volleyball game with my family.

What could you give a 30-minute presentation on with absolutely no preparation?

Smoking and cooking on our Traeger Grill.

What was the worst haircut you ever had?

Bowl Cut.

Where is your dream vacation spot?

Mountains in Montana.

If you could pick up a new skill in an instant what would it be?

Playing the bag pipes.
